Event #3 - Tuff Nutz

So, we're finally confirmed for our 3rd event of the year - Tuff Nutz.

Organised by Pensby Running Club, Tuff Nutz is a long distance test of your fitness both physically and mentally and your team work as well.

When and Where?
Sunday 12th April at 11:00 am starting in Thurstaston Visitor Centre, along the marsh to Parkgate and back on the Wirral Way.

What is it?
Tuff Nutz is an 11 mile team endurance race. Teams of three will run along beach, marsh, bogs and trails, completing TuffTasks along the way. Teamwork is going to be crucial as we complete the physical and mental tasks.

Why?
I chose Tuff Nutz for a few reasons, it's always good to support local events, I've heard great things about it and it's something a little different to plain running...and I bought some lovely trail running shoes which need using.

It's going to be a really tough event, and falling 2 weeks after the Liverpool Half Marathon, there'll be no let up in the training. It should mean I'm carrying a good level of fitness into the event and will all help preparation for the Marathon in June as well.

Can I get Involved?
Absolutely, there are 3 Fifteen for '15 teams entered so far so I imagine there will be a competitive edge to the day, but if you can get 2 other nutters to agree to it, get your self signed up. Do it quickly though as there are limited places available and the deadline is 22nd March. For more info, have a look at the Pensby Running Club website.

As it's local to a lot of you AND we'll be running through the lovely Parkgate, you don't really have any excuses for not coming out to shout, cheer and wave banners around for us. So even if you don't fancy traipsing through bogs, you can still get involved.

As always, get on our Just Giving site if you fancy giving some money. After all, that's exactly why we're doing this...

Ciao

Sean
